OPPO, the world’s leading smart device brand, has received TUV Rhineland certification for the battery efficiency in its Reno8 Pro 5G smartphone. This certificate attests that the smartphone will deliver over 80 percent battery-capacity retention even after 1600 charging-discharging cycles that effectively spans four years of use.
TUV Rheinland is an international expert’s body that tests batteries for durabililty, reliability and safety.
According to Rheinland lab, the Reno8 Pro 5G has been awarded the TUV Rhineland certification after testing OPPO’s proprietary lithium battery and Battery Health Management system. With its innovative technology, OPPO has successfully countered the problem of low battery capacity. The smartphone can preserve 80 percent battery capacity after 1600 charge cycles to exceed the international standard of 60 percent battery capacity after 300 charge cycles.
Earlier this year, the Reno8 5G received the DXOMARK 2022 GOLD BATTERY label that acknowledged its excellent charging performance along with a 36-Month Fluency Rating ‘A’ Mark from TÜV SÜD.
The Reno8 Series undergoes more than 300 rigorous tests at OPPO’s QE Reliability Lab to ensure durability. Battery health plays an important role in smartphone longevity. To this end, OPPO has developed its Battery Health Engine (BHE) technology to ensure optimal battery efficiency for its Reno8 Series. BHE comes with a Smart Battery Health algorithm and Battery Healing Technology for improved performance and safety.
The Reno8 Pro 5G boasts five-layer charging protection comprising adapter overload protection, quick charging condition identification protection, interface overload protection, battery current/voltage overload protection, and battery fuse protection. Together, these ensure optimal battery health for at least four years. Final testing by the TUV Rheinland has shown that BHE can successfully retain 80 percent of its original charging capacity for up to 1600 charge cycles, double the industry standard.
