Leading the forthcoming trends in Cinema and PRO DV segment, Canon announces a leading-edge project ‘Future Broadcasting’
A pioneering project in association with Avid/Real Image, Western Digital, LiveU to showcase state-of-the-art solutions in the segment

Ushering in a new era for Cinema and PRO DV segment in India, Canon, a global imaging giant, announces the launch of its pioneering and extensive project ‘Future Broadcasting’. The project is being rolled out in association with leading industry experts in the domain, including Avid/Real Image (a division of Qube Cinema Technologies), Western Digital and LiveU, among others.

The activities planned under the aegis of the campaign are workshops and events, designed to give hands on experience on products like Cinema EOS C200, Cinema EOS C300 Mark II and XA 15 & XF 405. The objective of this project is to get industry professionals demonstrate the workflow of these best in breed solutions, confirming that these solutions will lead the forthcoming trends in the Cinema and PRO DV segment.

Commenting on the growing trend and demand for better solutions in Cinema and PRO DV segment, Mr. Kazutada Kobayashi, President and CEO, Canon India, said, “With innovation embedded deep in our DNA, at Canon we believe in staying ahead of the approaching trends. The demonstration would be organized for target audiences, including English News Gathering, News channels, Regional Channels, GEC, Film Institutes, Defence, Documentary genres etc.

Further elaborating on their partnership with Canon, Sathish Kumar.P, General Manager of Real Image (a division of Qube Cinema Technologies), said, “Real Image along with Avid is happy to partner with Canon for this exclusive workshop and tap the broadcast markets in the North East and introduce the Avid products to these markets. Real Image will present an overview of the Avid Media Composer editing application and Avid Newsroom workflows. Avid Storage, Asset Management, Cloud based and Social Media Workflows will also be highlighted in the presentation.
